Plant tissue analysis is a diagnostic tool that has been used for many years. Up to a certain, critical point the content of a nutrient is directly related to yield. Also, nutrient concentrations in a plant are directly related to the quantity of that nutrient in the soil available to it. Nutrient imbalances can reduce yield and/or quality. These deficiencies can often be difficult to identify because a number of interacting factors may be causing the symptoms, not all of which are visually noticeable. Plant tissue analysis looks beyond the visual symptoms to confirm that crop nutrients are properly balanced.
